About Dr. Lamia
A native Long Islander, Dr. Lamia received his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Boston College in 1985. He went on to receive his dental degree from New York University in 1989 where he was recipient of the Bernard Ruder Memorial Award and inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary Dental Society. After 21 years of restorative and implant dentistry Dr. Lamia returned to academia for 3 years and received his Masters and specialty training in endodontics at the University of Michigan. While attending Michigan, Dr. Lamia received extensive training in Endodontic Microsurgery as well as replantation, auto transplantation, regenerative endodontics and implant surgery. Dr. Lamia is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has a diverse background in both stem cell and root canal anatomy research.
